Dr. Daniel Mahlberg

Dr. Daniel Mahlberg, PhD, is a highly regarded pianist, composer, and educator with nearly three decades of teaching experience. He is a senior examiner for the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM), an instructor of piano and pedagogy, and a sought-after adjudicator.

Holding a PhD in historical musicology from the University of British Columbia, Dr. Mahlberg has guided students at all levels, from beginners to those pursuing ARCT and pedagogy diplomas. Many of his students have won international awards, gone on to professional careers in music, and become accomplished educators themselves.

His teaching philosophy blends technical excellence with artistic exploration, drawing from his extensive background in classical, jazz, and contemporary music. He has served on the faculty of several music academies, developed curricula for group and private instruction, and mentored teachers in piano pedagogy.
